Droopy eyelids, medically known as ptosis, are often a reason to consult a specialist. While blepharoplasty has traditionally been the gold standard of surgery for eyelid lifting, minimally invasive alternatives are now also effective ways of tackling the problem. Among these, the CO2 laser has proven to be a revolutionary instrument for the treatment of eyelid sagging.

NON-SURGICAL APPROACH FOR DROOPY EYELIDS
CO2 laser treatment offers a non-surgical alternative to traditional blepharoplasty and is therefore of interest to anyone who wants subtle changes or wishes to avoid invasive procedures.
The CO2 laser allows for precise tissue ablation and resurfacing, so we can tailor the treatment to each individual’s specific needs after a detailed consultation, resulting in natural-looking results.
ADVANTAGES OF CO2 LASER TREATMENT
Compared to surgical procedures on the eyelids, the downtime for CO2 laser treatment is usually minimal, allowing patients to resume normal activity quickly. At the same time, the thermally controlled energy of the CO2 laser stimulates the formation of new collagen in the treated area, which over time leads to improved skin elasticity and a more youthful appearance.
Bonus effect: Not only can the CO2 laser treatment be used for sagging eyelids, it can also be used for other periocular problems such as fine lines, wrinkles and uneven skin texture.
WHO BENEFITS FROM CO2 LASER TREATMENT FOR SAGGING EYELIDS?
People with mild to moderate eyelid drooping benefit particularly from CO2 laser treatment, as the tissue-removing effect is especially effective here. The result is subtle and particularly natural.
CO2 laser treatment is also a safer alternative for people who are wary of surgery and shy away from the associated risks or contraindications, while still offering noticeable improvements.
TREATMENT STEPS FOR CO2 LASER EYELID REJUVENATION
After a comprehensive consultation, we assess the situation with you and determine the degree of eyelid sagging in order to ascertain the suitability of CO2 laser treatment.
Before the treatment, the patient’s eyes are covered with special protective goggles. The treatment area is thoroughly cleaned and a topical anesthetic may be applied to increase patient comfort.
During the actual treatment, the CO2 laser device emits a precise and controlled laser beam that is directed at the area of the eyelids to be treated. The energy is absorbed by the water in the skin cells and causes controlled vaporization and thermal stimulation of the underlying tissue. This process stimulates collagen production, tightens the skin and reduces sagging.
AFTER THE INTERVENTION
After the procedure, there may be slight redness, swelling or a sunburn-like sensation. We provide you with specific instructions for the follow-up treatment on site. Please ensure that you follow these instructions and avoid direct sunlight. Due to the high risk of dyspigmentation, we only carry out treatments from October to March at the latest.
Over the following days and weeks, the treated area heals and the skin gradually tightens. Patients can expect a gradual improvement in eyelid skin laxity and general sagging.
Costs from 600 € (based on the German Medical Fee Schedule, or GOÄ) depending on the treatment concept
