Pleats are wrinkles that line the upper lips and the mouth area. They make the face look older than it is. However, wrinkles are not only found in smokers: The elasticity and resilience of the skin decreases with age, and the muscles of the lips and mouth are under constant strain, which further facilitates the formation of wrinkles. This is unavoidable – but it can be changed.

A combination of botulinum toxin (“Botox”) and hyaluronic acid can be used to remove the pleats on the upper lip very effectively. Injecting lip lines and pleated wrinkles is quick and painless. Thanks to the anesthetic lidocaine contained in the hyaluronic acid and the sensitive procedure, you will hardly feel the procedure. If necessary, additional topical anesthesia is possible using lidocaine ointment. So you can relax and look forward to your new look, which will give you a youthful, fresh effect for up to 12 months.
