ResurfX TM is an established laser in aesthetic medicine, specifically the erbium glass laser (from ResurfX), which improves the appearance of the skin by reducing fine lines, wrinkles and other signs of aging. The laser treatment creates controlled micro-injuries on the surface of the skin, which stimulate the production of collagen and elastin . The laser energy is delivered without damaging the skin, i.e. “non-ablative”.
Treatment with ResurfX is offered in our practices in Baden-Baden and Stuttgart .

Tolerance is generally very good. The treatment is discussed in advance in a detailed consultation.
Post-treatment
After the ResurfX TM treatment, it is important to moisturize the skin well, avoid the sun for about four weeks after the treatment and always apply a high sun protection factor.
Pregnant women / nursing mothers
A detailed consultation is required to check whether laser therapy can be used in the individual case during pregnancy.

The number of sessions varies from individual to individual and depends on the personal skin condition.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE TREATMENT AND WHAT EFFECT DOES IT HAVE?
During the ResurfXTM treatment, short pulses of laser energy are channelled into the 1-1.9 mm deep skin layers, heating them up.
The heat added in so-called micro-columns stimulates the body’s own healing processes, which leads to the removal of old cells and the production of new collagen and elastin fibres that significantly improve the appearance of the skin. This not only tightens the skin, but also helps to reduce stretch marks and scar tissue.

POST-TREATMENT
Slight redness and swelling may occur after the treatment, but this usually subsides within a few days. Slight localized burns are rare and usually heal quickly. Nevertheless, a “downtime” of around two days is possible.
The results are visible after a few weeks . Depending on the initial situation, one to three sessions are required to achieve optimum results. These should be carried out at intervals of 3-4 weeks .
