Sweating is a physiological process: the body maintains a stable body temperature through perspiration. The evaporation of sweat removes heat from the body, protecting it from overheating. This is typically the case when the ambient air is warm and/or very humid, such as in summer, or when you are physically active, such as during sports activity.
However, if the sweating occurs continuously, even if there are no physiological reasons for it, then the sweating becomes pathological and thus a problem for the person suffering from it.
Treatment for hyperhidrosis is offered in our practices in Baden-Baden and Stuttgart.

How long the result lasts depends on the individual and varies between 6 and 9 months.
Side effects
There may be slight reddening at the injection sites. A burning sensation may also occur, but this quickly disappears.
Post-treatment
Sunbathing, the sauna and sports should be avoided for at least 72 hours.
Pregnant women / nursing mothers
Treatment with botulinum toxin A should be avoided during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

With hyperhidrosis we mean excessive sweating that occurs particularly on the hands, feet and armpits. There are various forms of hyperhidrosis.
Hyperhidrosis can be restrictive to such an extent that it has an impact on social life. Contact with people in professional situations can also be severely affected as well. Thus, hyperhidrosis frequently leads to a reduction in quality of life.
At YY Aesthetics, we can treat the excessive sweating of primary hyperhidrosis very effectively with botulinum toxin A (Botox®). The muscle relaxant is injected under the skin of the area that tends to sweat heavily. Botulinum toxin A prevents the sweat glands from being activated, which means that less fluid (sweat) is secreted.
To make the treatment as comfortable as possible, a local anesthetic cream can be applied to the areas before treatment. The first effects occur after 3 days and take full effect after 14 days. The result: clearly vreduced sweat production.
